HFC has introduced mobile banking to enable you enjoy banking services anytime, anywhere. Mobile Banking is an additional delivery channel for offering services in a cost effective manner. With Mobile Banking, HFC provides you with real time, secure and convenient services on your mobile phone.

•Transfer of funds from MPesa to Bank a/c

4.Messaging and alerts

•Ability to set alerts on and off
•Ability to change the debit limit

Registration Steps

1.Visit any of our branches or customer sales and service centers and fill out the Mobile Banking application form.
2.Ensure your mobile SIM is registered – a mandatory requirement by the CCK.
3.You will receive an SMS alert with your PIN Number from HFC (3222) within 48 hours confirming your phone line has been registered for the HFC Mobile Banking Service.
4.You are now ready to start enjoying HFC mobile banking services at the palm of your hand.
*Please note that you can change your PIN Number.

How to use the service

1.Dial *231# to access the menu of services available under the HFC Mobile Banking.
2.You will be requested to enter your PIN number.
3.Thereafter you will view a drop down menu with five (5) key services. To utilize any of the services, enter the number assigned to the service and press enter.

2.Requisition Services
3.Funds Transfer
4.Utility Payments
5.Messaging and Alerts
6.Exit

Services available under Customer Enquiries:

1.Balance Enquiry
2.Mini Statement
3.Interest Rate Request
(Please note that this service is available to mortgage accounts only)

Services available under Requisition Services:

1.Statement Request
2.Cheque Book Request
3.Stop Card Request
4.Stop Cheque
5.PIN Change
6.Bankers Cheque Request

Services available under Funds Transfer:

1.Bank to MPESA
2.Own Account
3.Other HFC Account
This facility allows you to transfer cash from your account to MPESA or other accounts within HFC.


Step by Step Guide:
How to transfer money from HFC Account to Mpesa

1.Dial *231# on your phone and press send
2.Enter your PIN Number and press send
3.Enter 3 (Funds Transfer) and press send
4.Enter 2 (Bank to Mpesa) and press send
5.Enter the amount to be transferred and press send
6.You will receive a message from HFC once the transaction has been completed and amounts transferred to your Mpesa Account.

How to transfer money from Mpesa to HFC Account

1.Go the MPESA Menu on your phone and press Paybill
2.Enter the business number 100400 (the HFC Business Number)
3.Enter the account number in full (200 – 001234) to receive the amount being transferred and press ok
4.Enter the amount to be transferred and press ok
5.Enter the MPESA PIN number to validate the transaction and press ok
6.Once sent, wait for the HFC and MPESA confirmation on the transfer.

How to transfer money from one HFC Account to another HFC Account

1.Dial *231# on your phone and press send
2.Enter your PIN Number and press send
3.Enter 3 (Funds Transfer) and press send
4.Enter 2 (Other HFC Account) and press send
5.Enter the Account in which the money is to be transferred to (i.e. the Credit Account) and press send
6.Enter the amount to be transferred and press send
7.You will receive a message from HFC once the transaction has been completed and amounts transferred to the beneficiary account
Services available under Utility Payments:
Nairobi Water
This facility allows you to make utility payments. Currently, the utility company in direct partnership with HFC is Nairobi Water Company.

Please note that other utility companies (such as Kenya Power and DSTV) can be paid via the MPESA platform by transferring money directly from your HFC account to the MPESA Account and to the utility companies paybill accounts.

Additional Information

How do I purchase airtime?
Purchase of airtime is currently facilitated via the MPESA platform. Acquiring airtime can be done by transferring money directly from your HFC account to the MPESA Account and thereafter using the ‘buy airtime’ function on Mpesa to buy the airtime.
How do I cancel a transaction?
To cancel a transaction, please call the HFC help desk number for assistance. This service is currently available between 8.00am and 5.00pm.
